A Slide show of some of the tools in my workshop

These tools, are part of my workshop and have been built up over the years.

Some tools are new, or bought new.

A large proportion are tools bought second hand, and have now found a new home in my little workshop.

Some of these tools are 60 years to a 100 or more years old, and they still give sterling service, and are as useful today as they were on the day they were made.

I really enjoy, being able to use these old tools, and being part of the craft and skill that they engender.

Some of the older tools are marked with the name of their past owner.

I always respect these tools even more, as they are a connection to the past, and I can't help but think, the past owner would expect me to respect his precious tools.

Sadly some people collect old tools just for the sake of collecting them or as an investment. This is forcing the cost of these tools out of the reach of those that treasure and use them on a daily basis.

This collection will grow with time, and I hope will be of use to those that view it.

If you see an image that you want to explore further during the slide show, Press P, when showing the image and it will take you to that image on my Flickr site and give you an optional enlargement.
